DSCN1763_editedDSCN1767_edited

Ingredients:

Big pot of fresh pasta

Alfredo sauce with LOTS of parmesan cheese

Freshly baked bread

7 couples (minus a few wives)

11 bottles of wine (and only 9 people were drinking!)

and a professional chef, Jaxon Stallard

Directions:

1. Leave kids in front of the TV with babysitters and head to the Joneses.

2. Start drinking wine and hoarding eating yummy parmesan crisps.

3. Discuss politics. Sarah Palin, Love it or hate it?

4. Help Watch Jaxon make fresh pasta and Alfredo sauce!

5. Make list of kitchen items that Deb/Jenny Jaxon thinks are an essential (the chef looked at me with disgust shock when I told her I used Morton's salt and RealLemon lemon juice)!

6. Whisk together Italian vinaigrette (once again, a look of shock when I told her I used already-prepared Kraft salad dressings).

7.  Take turns whisking the Saybayon sauce to lick from our fingers pour over our grilled peaches for dessert.

8. Sit down to scarf down enjoy our meal.

9. Enjoy more wine coffee, dessert and conversation with our friends!

Hilarious. So true except I think I actually INHALED my meal - and I think Pete made me drink about four of those bottles of wine. Thank God for Advil before bed.

What a fun night. Thank you thank you thank you for giving us such a nice gift. What a treat to NOT have to make dinner (although I helped with the salad dressing) and to have the sitters set up for me.

You guys have the true gift of hospitality.
