Get it, and keep on gettin' it...

Pete: So how do I get to the highway from here?

North Carolina Gas station guy: Just turn left on that road and get it and keep on gettin'  it!

This was just one of our North Carolina experiences last weekend when we went to see our wonderful friends, the Thomas family!  Jill and I figured out that we have known each other for 14 years and we have definitely been through MANY different seasons of life together.  We had a great time with their kids: Harrison (age 5 who is the fastest runner around), Bella (age 3 who loves to dress up) and Simon (5 months who is just plain cute).  DSCN1734

Weekend activities included many rounds of good talks w/ coffee and Jill's delicious cinnamon cake, a gourmet dinner at  Adam and Allison Bankhead McIntyre's home (a college friend with two adorable children), lunch with the Van Zandt's (good friends who used to live in Park City), walking around Wake Forest Main street (where Pete got to know the locals), a visit to Southeastern Seminary (where Heath teaches) AND a date night out to Shucker's (a true NC experience)! Thanks Thomas Family for a memorable weekend!

DSCN1724 we all three had the same hooter hiders (ie, nursing covers)!
