We had the privilege of hosting my in-laws this past weekend and I think we may have worn them out! Mammy and Grampa endured all the weekend activities with no complaints. Per their request, we went camping on Friday night. We did everything from hobo dinners to smores to tent sleeping! It was great except for the part when Parker decided that sleeping is not all its cracked up to be when you are camping! Pete was wiping away all the tears (mine included) after several hours of sleeplessness. =( We did manage to get a few hours of sleep and had a big cup of coffee the next morning!
Next we drug them to the Coalville Demolition Derby! Its just what it sounds like, you go and watch crazy people crash their cars into one another. Although we were all a bit drowsy, it made for a good time with funnel cakes and fair food included!
Sunday we all tried to relax a bit and just hang out. Had a little time with the Anderson family and their newest arrival, Gentry. We also enjoyed the conversations had with Mammy & Grampa. They imparted much of their parenting wisdom (per our request) and loved on Parker as much as they could! We had a great weekend and look forward to many more visits in the future.
PS: I almost forgot, but Mammy always comes bearing many of her homemade gifts and here are just a few...she is very gifted with the sewing machine & knitting needles!
If we have a girl...newborn Mary Jane shoes!
A "Vera Bradley" bag that she made for me!

Looks like a FUN weekend! I love the Jones/Franke families!! Can't believe new baby Jones is 30 weeks!!
Also--those Mary Janes are the cutest I've ever seen!
I think I might cry if I had to go camping (crying baby or Not!) Glad you had fun!
