The Finer Things in Life

I always thought Barney's was a kids TV show, but I have  recently learned from my brother, Jay, that  Barney's  is an "emporium of style and gorgeous products!"  Who would have known?  I am just a casual girl who enjoys a  $30 pedicure and a $20 home accessory from T.J. Maxx.  Jay, on the other hand, is my fashion and home decorating  idol.  He definitely knows where to find the "finer things in life" and not only that, he gives them as gifts to his family members (lucky me).

Every year, the sisters all wait in suspense as to what the "sister-gift" will be for the year.  Its been everything from beautiful watches, earrings and stylish purses (not from TJ Maxx). 2008 did not disappoint!  We received a beautifully wrapped Mont Blanc Pen and personalized stationery from Mrs. John L. Strong of New York.  All items sent from Barney's of New York, of course.

You may be wondering why I am just now blogging about this, well, it just arrived this week!  I received two beautiful brown boxes filled with my very own JENNY JONES stationery!  I am not sure I can bear to use them, they are so beautiful. =)

Parker prefers the finer things in life too.  He decided he would try my new pen out for me. Thanks Uncle Jay and David for setting his standards high at such a young age!

Wow, I'm not sure I could use it either, but it is definitely BEAUTIFUL!!!

I meant to comment a couple of posts ago. Your brothers look the same as they did 20 years ago to me....but then again, so do you!

Don't know why, but I think that pic of Parker writing is sooooooooo precious. Okay, maybe my being his Mammy has something to do with why. Anyway, thanks for posting. Beautiful stationary and pen, by the way.
