Park City is known for its historic fire in 1898 which burned down most of the Old Town structures, but this is not a normal occurrence here in this little ski town. Pete and I awoke this morning to the sound of Parker crying fire truck sirens and looked out our window to see smoke billowing from the roof of a historic Old Town home. We watched as the blazing fire enveloped the home in a little over 30 minutes. It reminded us that nothing is permanent and to hold tightly to the important things in our life (faith, relationships, memories) and hold loosely to the things that can quickly burn away. It also reminded us to check our smoke detectors and change the batteries (as should you).

Back in January a sales rep that I work with lost his home. Burned to the ground in 10 minutes. I was actually there visiting at the time. We came home and bought a fire safe right away!! We also made inventory of everything in the house.
good plan Melissa!
Am I the only person that doesn't know how to do the scratch through a word thing?!?!?! Ticking me off!
