Pie Breakfast 2012

Every Pie Breakfast is unique in its location, pie-eaters, types of pies, pie-bakers, etc and that's one reason the tradition continues, because it is fun and different every year.  This year was no exception, we did have a few FIRSTS:

 1. Our house-FIRST time we have ever hosted in this house...and actually since 2004! How did we  
  dodge that one for so many years?

2. Some FIRST TIME PIE BAKERS: The Hanssen Family, Mom & Dad, Calvin, Jeremiah and Easton. =) Aunt Susan came too--although not her first Pie Bfast.

3. We hit the record of attendees with over 300 people!!

4. FIRST TIME we have RUN OUT of PIE! First time ever that we had no pie to offer the guests that came after  about 11:15. We did kindly remind them that it is a PIE BREAKFAST, so next year come early.

It was a fun experience and we all survived it without too much carnage! Ate a lovely Thanksgiving at the Montage Hotel (to avoid cooking/cleaning) and enjoyed a relaxing evening with our family.
